It''s Sunday, October 20, a few hours left before the start of the women’s final of the 29th International Tennis Tournament «VTB Kremlin Cup»… «Olimpyiskyi» stadium is waking up, the overhand band is still not on, cats, old-timers of the stadium, wandering around the arena... The balls on courts clatter fast-paced, there is a Pro-Am tournament going on. At the center court young tennis players gathered together, in bright uniforms carrying huge bags over their shoulders. All youngsters are watching the doubles match involving Marat Safin and Andrey Olkhovskyi with great interest. They can wait to prove themselves, so as soon as the go-ahead was given, they rushed to the court.

Young as theyr are, these boys and girls have already been seriously practicing in various tennis clubs: SHOR Tennis MGFSO, «Megasport», Academy of S.Tarpishchev, «Olimpiec», «Tennis-Park», J-PRO, Sports School city of Novosibirsk. A responsible approach requires thorough hard practicing sessions, therefore under strict guidance of their top professional mentors, children began a running warm-up, then work on their forehand, backhand, serve, and started to do interesting exercises for moving on court and leg work with their fitness coach.

Parents are closely watching what is happening, because the advice of professionals will definitely come in handy.

Toward the end of the clinic , the winners of the doubles tournament of the 28th draw of the «VTB Kremlin Cup» Max Mirnyi and Philip Oswald came to visit the young talents - in the final of this year they will defend their title at the «Olimpiysky». Stepping on court along with such eminent opponents is a great honor and at the same time a reason not rest, because the coaches offered the young tennis players to play a doubles micro-match against Mirnyi and Oswald. The kids were divided by two, each paid was to play a short and, if possible, to win it. Despite the very impressive height of the award-winning professionals (both athletes are almost 2 meters tall), their young opponents did not flinch, so the frivolous attitude and jokes from Max and Philip quickly disappeared and they got into the fight. And the amazing rallies were welcomed from the stands by the parents.

As Mirnyi and Oswald confessed, they did not expect to work really so hard, and were pleasantly surprised by the high level of the kids. The young champions were also satisfied - they all received invaluable experience and unforgettable impressions from their interaction with top-level professionals, as well as souvenirs from the organizers of the «VTB Kremlin Cup» tournament.
